I don't know why this worked, but i'm sharing it in case it helps anyone else. Neither am I sure why it still didn't work as the computer is running Windows 7 SP1 anyway.Īfter that Outlook opened immediately and would close and reopen perfectly.
I am not sure why this was ticked in the first place - this was there by default. Untick the box next to 'Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 7 Service Pack 1'. Right click on the Outlook 2016 shortcut and select the Compatibility tab.

Completely uninstall and reinstall Office 2016. Run both 'quick' and 'full' repairs of Office 2016. 
Add registry key to DisableHardwareAcceleration. Delete and re-create the Outlook profile. Windows 7 Pro SP1 (brand new installation) with Office 2016 (brand new installation) connecting to local Exchange 2013 server mailbox. Throughout troubleshooting, other symptoms that occurred were: Outlook would load and error immediately with 'Could not open information store'. It sits there forever until we have to force it closed, or closes with an error message. The problem is that now it loads to the blue Outlook screen saying 'loading profile'. Then the user closes and reopens Outlook. pst file and stuff but i have tried everything i finding and tried on 2 computers that has outlook with other exchange accounts working.Outlook 2016 sets up correctly (initially) and then loads fine. Also, I would use A-Record for autodiscover, not CNAME. I have seen many people has this problem becouse some old. If you do a configuration test in Outlook and it says autodiscover is pointing to old server, then you still have DNS issues OR you havent waited long enough since changes were made. I alrady have 2 mailbox accounts from another exchange server in outlook that works fine, not from same exchange server, this is a new fresh exchange server i trying to get all to work. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action." and after klicked OK i getting a window to check the mailbox name on the exchange server but nothing works.Īfter closeing that window the profile for the exchange server is gone.
